width=”550″ height=”412″ /> If you’re growing your own fruit and vegetables, or just trying to eat the things that are produced locally, you come across one obvious problem: when something’s in season, you have more than you can handle, and then there’s nothing for the rest of the year. So the obvious solution is to preserve your food when you have it in abundance. Dehydration is an excellent preservation…
Well not 100% sure there is not a younger garden blogger out there but at the ripe age of 6 pretty sure Megan is in close competition. You can check out “Megan’s Garden” at http://www.megansgarden.com. Now I must warn you that this blog is written by a 6 year old that does not use a spell checker so if you may need to read phonetically which can be a…
Exactly one year ago I wrote the first post for The Cheap Vegetable Gardener. Over this short time I have had a tremendous response, more than I ever had ever imagined. Good one! I believe to have a good imagination and always seem to start with junk. Recycle is the best cycle, anyway.
People have been doing great things with junk for 1000’s of years. Now reason to stop now…
I love this! We just got cable & this quote is perfect to moderate overreaction to the shows about hoarding. As with most things in life, moderation is the key but a nice bunch of junk DOES stimulate my imagination!
Fortunately I seem to keep my hoarding to two Rubbermaid containers (one for gardening, one for electronics) guess a little overflow onto my workbench. But I agree must practice moderation…
