Go tomatoes go
I am a bit jealous seeing pictures across the country/world of everyone’s baskets of tomatoes, but I am getting close to my first few tomatoes on their modest vines starting to turn red…I see some salsa in my near future.

width=”488″ height=”366″ /> Tomato Plants are not known for being forgiving. They are not beginner plants. Tomatoes give seasoned gardeners nightmares. So why is it that I keep torturing myself by trying and trying to grow them? Maybe I like a challenge. Maybe I think that I’ll do better with a difficult crop, since my luck with “easy” plants is sporadic at best. Maybe I really like Salsa. Ok,…
When I mention I grow tomatoes upside down many people ask me, “Why don’t you grow tomatoes in the ground?” The surprise answer is, I do grow both in the ground and in the air. There’s nothing like those days and weeks, waiting for fruits to ripen to where we want them to reach.
Your tomatoes are ahead of mine. I am afraid I may be ripening most of my green tomatoes in the house in a brown paper bag this year. But I am holding on to hope still. It just did not get warm early enough this year.
